Coming home in Tongerlo
Tongerlo is a quiet, snoozing village in the north-east of Belgium. Tongerlo is a sub-municipality of the cosy town Bree in the province of Limburg. The Netherlands and Germany are nearby.
The ‘Keyartmolen’ is situated at the edge of the village centre, where the ‘Itterbeek’ crosses the ‘Zuid-Willemsvaart’. This age-old farm house and water mill (the name already shows in manuscripts dating back to the Middle Ages) is an official ‘monument and protected village square’.
An authentic environment
In 2008, the complete mill- and farmer’s complex has been taken over by Sonja Houben and Wim Winthaegen, a couple with 20 years of experience in hospitality management on a high level: born entrepreneurs who seek for the ideal mix of an exciting new quality project and quality time in nature. Rural peace and quietness, taking the pressure of.
The ‘Keyartmolen’ has been rebuilt with a lot of skill – respecting the authentic and protected facades – to a high-quality, luxurious Bed & Breakfast (4 stars), actually provided with all the comfort you could wish for and some extraordinary assets.
Living as a renaissance prince in… the ‘Keyartmolen’
All these facilities make the ‘Keyartmolen’ the ideal base or destination for walkers, bikers and horsemen who are longing for a few days of ‘recharging’ in nature but also desire the utmost comfort and a princely service, as well in the evening, at night as in the morning.
